Emrah Uyar received his BS degree in Industrial Engineering from METU and worked as a research assistant at Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE) of Georgia Tech between 2004 and 2008, during which he received MS in Industrial Engineering, MS in Operations Research, and PhD in Industrial Engineering. He studied stochastic vehicle routing problems with demand variability and delivery time windows and developed optimization models to achieve reductions in both fleet size and travelled distance. He received Thomas Johnson Fellowship during his studies, and he was a Global Logistics Scholar at Supply Chain Institute of Georgia Tech. He also won Richard E. Rosenthal Young Researcher Award at INFORMS in 2010.
He has been working as a senior consultant with international software companies and carries more than 16 years of experience in the design and implementation of pricing and revenue management optimization solutions. He has been the analytical lead on several projects in media, leisure, passenger travel, and hospitality industries.
He has also been teaching senior level courses at Bilkent University, TOBB University of Economics and Technology and METU since 2016.
His main research interests are forecasting, pricing and revenue management, statistical and quantitative analysis, advanced mathematical modelling, and business strategy and implementation consulting.
